Elvis Is In the Building!

Elvis and the Eastman Male Choir have teamed up, formed a band and are presenting a benefit concert on Sunday October 28th entitled ‘Harmony for Hope’.

.  Eastman Male Choir and ‘Elvis’ are presenting this concert for the benefit of Eden Foundation and the programs that Eden Health Care Services offer in Winnipeg as well as across the Southern Health Region.  Eastman Male Choir will be taking a part of the program on their own and the Elvis tribute artist, Corny Rempel will be singing some of the Gospel Songs that were part of Elvis’ repertoire, with the Eastman Male Choir as accompaniment.

The Eastman Male Choir’s ‘Harmony for Hope’ concert is on Sunday October 28th at 7 pm at Sargent Avenue Mennonite Church, 926 Garfield Street in Winnipeg.  (Lots of parking available two blocks west at the Cindy Klassen Recreation Complex.)

Eden Health Care Services is present and active in Winnipeg and the surrounding community with:

  • Providing a blended housing model at Concordia Village IV on Molson Ave. near Concordia Hospital
  • Recovery of Hope counseling with the main office on Harrow St. near Pembina Hwy.

Donations we receive from the community and from this concert go to support these services in the Eastman region.  In addition to the ongoing programs listed above, Eden Foundation has committed to supporting the following initiatives:

  • Provide support at Concordia Village IV where the blended model brings a variety of people together in a living environment
  • Provide funding for Recovery of Hope counselling service.  Recovery of Hope is a fee-for-service counselling service that operates on a sliding scale based on income.  The difference between what it costs to employ highly trained counselling staff and what people can afford to pay, is made up as a result of an event such as this.

You are invited to come hear some of the classic gospel songs that Elvis liked to sing along with the accompaniment of the highly talented Eastman Male Choir under the direction of Nathan de Avila.
