An organisation supported by ten Manitoba Mennonite Church Constituencies with 38,000 adult members (1990) and other faith churches, including:

Development Timeline from “concept” (1955) to the present:

  • 1966 – Eden Mental Health Centre established
  • 1978 – Community Mental Health Services added
  • 1981 – Linden Place (8-person transition home) established

Eden Residential Care Services

  • 1981 – Eden Foundation established
  • 1982 – Trainex (Industries) Centre established
  • 1988 – Restructured Organization: Eden Health Care Services
  • 1989 – Recovery of Hope established

Winnipeg, Steinbach, Altona, Winkler, Portage

  • 1991 – Enns Court East (18 integrated/supportive units) and
  • 1993 – Enns Court West (20 units – both E.R.C.S.)
  • 1996 – Collaboration with Regional, Self Help & Provincial Mental Health
  • 1996 – Community Choices – social/recreational program for persons with mental health issues
  • 1998 – Safety & functional upgrade of EMHC completed
  • 1998 – EHCS moves to new community offices in Winitoba Mall (ALG Professional Centre)
  • 2004 – Eden East (Steinbach) officially affiliated with EHCS
  • 2005 – Sold Trainex facilities; moved program to ALG Professional Centre and name changed to Segue Career Options.
  • 2005 – Construction begins on 24-unit apartment in Steinbach (Eden East)
  • 2009 – Pathways Community Mental Health Services opens in downtown ALG Professional Centre location – Moving out of Eden Mental Health Centre
  • 2009 – Purchase of 24 apartments in Steinbach – Wilson Courts
  • 2013 – Construction begins on Concordia IV in Winnipeg, a 45-unit housing project in Winnipeg
