A Silent Night – Just Pause Mental Health Workshop
About the Workshop
While the holidays are often filled with lights, music, and celebration, they can also be a deeply painful time for those carrying grief. Whether you’re mourning the loss of a loved one, navigating estranged relationships, or feeling the absence of familiar traditions, this season can stir up complex emotions.
“A Silent Night: Grief & Grace in the Season of Christmas” is a gentle, reflective workshop designed to offer comfort, connection, and hope to those experiencing loss during the holidays. Facilitated by Certified Wellness Coach Linda Vickers, this session provides a compassionate space to:
- Acknowledge and honor your grief in a supportive environment
- Explore meaningful ways to remember loved ones
- Create new traditions that bring comfort and connection
- Learn strategies to navigate emotional triggers during the season
- Embrace the holidays with grace, presence, and self-compassion
This workshop is not about “fixing” grief—it’s about making space for it, and finding ways to move through the season with authenticity and care.
Why It Matters
“Grief doesn’t take a holiday,” says Kim Thiessen, Program Director at Recovery of Hope. “This workshop is about recognizing that reality and offering people a place to feel seen, supported, and gently guided through one of the most emotionally complex times of the year.”
Participants will leave with practical tools and a renewed sense of peace, knowing they are not alone in their experience.
