Position Summary:

The Administrative Assistant ensures the efficient day-to-day operation of the office, and supports the work of management, counsellors, and doctors.


  • High School Diploma required
  • Post-secondary education in medical field or office management is an asset
  • Experience in office setting preferred
  • Background in mental health is an asset

Knowledge, Skills and Ability:

  • Knowledge of office management systems and procedures
  • A good level of English spelling and grammar
  • Strong attention to detail and high level of accuracy and confidentiality
  • Strong organizational and planning skills
  • Excellent time management skills and ability to multi-task and prioritize
  • Effective written and verbal communication skills
  • Excellent interpersonal skills
  • Availability to work Monday to Friday, daytime and evening time frames, with flexibility to cover extra hours for vacation and illness
  • Excellent keyboard skills
  • Strong computer skills
  • Good medical transcription skills
  • Proficient use of MS Word, MS Excel, MS Outlook
