Border Valley Snow Goers Poker Derby – In Support of Segue Career Options
February 14, 2026
The Border Valley Snow Goers invite you to take part in their Second Annual Poker Derby — a full day of snowmobiling, friendly competition, and community fun.
Riders will travel an approximately 120 km snowmobile route, collecting poker chips at designated stops along the way. At the end of the day, hands are turned in for a chance to win $1,500 in total prizes. Whether you’re riding for bragging rights or just for the thrill of the trail, this event is a great way to enjoy winter in southern Manitoba.
Registration takes place from 9:00 AM to 12:00 PM at the Plum Coulee Co-op Gas Bar. Participants may purchase one hand for $10 or three hands for $25. Poker hands must be submitted by 5:00 PM, with the route concluding at the Plum Coulee Arena.
The snowmobile route includes stops at:
-
Four Winds (Altona)
-
South Border Shack
-
Mr. Mikes (Winkler)
The day wraps up with a dinner and silent auction at 6:00 PM at the Plum Coulee Arena. Dinner tickets are $25 and are available for purchase at registration. A portion of the event proceeds will support Segue Career Options.
This event is open to snowmobile enthusiasts of all experience levels and support two local organizations at once while enjoying a classic winter tradition.
