It’s OK Not to be OK During a Crisis

Eden Health Care Services is hoping to help people through the current health situation with a mental health wellness support line.

“You’re not alone.”

That from Dana Human, Regional Director of Mental Health and Spiritual Care at Eden Health Care Services in light of the stress people are under during the current health situation.

She notes it’s normal to feel sad, stressed, confused, scared or even angry during a crisis, especially for those working on the frontlines.

To help, Human explains they’ve recently created a confidential phone line to provide instant access to a Mental Health Clinician who’s ready to listen. The line is for everyone, including health care professionals to debrief and decompress from the heightened stress at work.

“We just wanted to provide the community and health care colleagues with someone they can talk to,” Human explains. “A professional that can help them de-stress during this difficult time.”

You can reach their new support line at 204-325-6585 between 8:00 a.m and 5:00 p.m Monday to Friday, or try their 24-hour crisis service at 1-888-617-7715.
