Recovery of Hope Counsellor – Winkler Location

Recovery of Hope is inviting applications for a contract counsellor at our Winkler location. Eligible candidates will have a master’s degree in counselling psychology, hold membership and be in good standing with a professional counselling association, and have liability insurance. Willingness and experience in counselling couples is preferred.

Recovery of Hope is the counselling program of Eden Health Care Services (EHCS). In addition to our counselling program, EHCS also has programs that provide Housing and Support, Employment Services, Community Mental Health, Out-patient Psychiatry, and the Acute Psychiatric Hospital. The work at EHCS is wrap-around work to meet the needs of those who are on a mental health journey.

Recovery of Hope has three locations: Winnipeg, Winkler, and Steinbach. We are a team of 25 counsellors, 7 administrative staff, a Program Director, and a Clinical Director. Our administrative team is exceptional, and handles all bookings, cancellations, schedules, session payments, etc.  The culture of Recovery of Hope is supportive and welcoming, with a focus on continuous learning and training in counselling modalities and approaches. Counsellors meet once a month for group consultation and learning. This position is for part-time work with the possibility for growth. Recovery of Hope offers daytime, evening and weekend in-person and virtual appointments. Counsellors set their own schedules based on client need and office availability at our Winkler location.

What We’re Looking For:

We value diverse perspectives and experiences. To thrive in this role, you’ll need:

  • A Master’s degree in counselling
  • Professional membership and certification in good standing with a professional counselling association such as, CCPA, MCSW, CAMFT, CPCA, PACCP, and RP.
  • Demonstrated cultural competency and using an anti-racist practice framework.
  • Alignment with the vision, mission, and values of Eden Health Care Services
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills, with a commitment to collaboration.
  • To provide current Police Record Check with Vulnerable Sector Search, and Child Abuse Registry checks.
  • Liability insurance.

Pay: $59.00 – $68.00 per session depending on experience
