Clients are most successful when they feel it is a good fit between themselves and their therapist. During the intake process, our administrative team will do their best to match you with a counsellor that not only works with your schedule, but also specializes in topics and concerns important to your counselling journey.

Making a Self-Referral or Referring Your Child
Once you have come to the decision that you would like to speak with one of our counsellors, these are your next steps:
1. Please call or email our office to complete an intake. Our administrative team will ask for general contact information, financial setup, reasoning as to why you’re seeking counselling, and any preferences you might have in terms of choosing a counsellor.
2. Our administrative team will then work with you to match you with a counsellor that would best suit your needs, then book an appointment
3. Consent forms will be emailed to you for review, which your counsellor will go over and sign with you during your first session.
Referring Your Child
Please Note:
Recovery of Hope counsellors require parents to attend a parent consultation session before meeting with any clients under-18. This consult session is to not only go over our Statement of Understanding and Parental Consent forms, but it also gives parents the opportunity to provide information or context that may be important for the counsellor to know before meeting with the child. It is preferred that both parents attend the parent consult whenever possible, though in any situation, written consent is required from both parents before an individual session for a child can be booked.
