Ride for Recovery of Hope

Come Ride With Us!

Recovery of Hope along with the support of Eden Foundation is launching its inaugural cycling event. This is a fundraising event in support of Recovery of Hope’s Sliding Fee Scale Program, a popular program that helps make counselling therapy accessible and affordable to all those who seek to benefit from it!.  Our current world circumstances is having a very local effect in that mental health services are overwhelmed and Recovery of Hope is in a position to help.  To make that a reality, we are in need of financial support so that anyone regardless of their financial ability has the opportunity to receive professional counselling at any of our counselling offices in Winnipeg, Winkler, Steinbach, Altona and Portage la Prairie.

When: Saturday, September 26, 2020 at 9:00 am

Where: Staging area is at Fort Garry MB Church at 1771 Pembina Highway

Those who choose to participate in the fundraising event but ride remotely are welcome to register for the event and choose their own ride route.

In keeping with health recommendations, participants/teams will begin their ride at intervals to ensure distancing.  If the COVID situation changes and outdoor events need to be cancelled, we will invite all participants to plan their own rides that day on a route of their own choosing.

The ride is going to be using sections of the cycling/walking trail system in Winnipeg.  The route will have sections from the Recovery of Hope offices on Harrow down to the U of M with another leg along Wellington Crescent to Assiniboine Park and CMU.  The image below is an approximation of the intended route.  It’s might be modified before it’s finalized.
