Segue Career Options is the employment branch of Eden Health Care Services. The agency serves residents in the area served by Manitoba’s Southern Santé Sud Regional Health Authority.

Segue is a supportive employment agency which aims to assist eligible individuals who are employment-ready, however, facing challenges and barriers in their job searches to prepare for, obtain, and retain competitive employment within their communities.

Eligibility for Segue services

Individuals who are a resident of south central Manitoba, legally entitled to work in Canada, experiencing a mental health concern and/or physical barrier to employment are eligible for services through a referral process from the provincial marketAbilities program and other agencies such as SMD (Society for Manitobans with a Disability), CNIB (Canadian National Institute for the Blind), and Family Services and Labour.

Types of Assistance

  • Vocational Assessments – assess and match individual’s aptitudes, skills, abilities and interests with employment opportunities or career options.
  • Workplace Assessments – provide community-based on-the-job training and evaluation of the individual’s skills
  • Placement Services – negotiating individual’s employment placement with participant and employer
  • Follow-up Services – providing job mentoring support and accommodation services once individuals have obtained employment
